Mission Control runs on your Mac. Your projects, code, files and terminals stay there.
The app does report how much it is used — counts and durations, tied to
your account — so we can see what is worth building and what is going wrong.
This page lists all of it.

What the app reports
Once you are signed in, the app sends a short report when it starts, about every 30 minutes while you use it, and when you quit. Each report holds, per day:
- How many times the app was started, and how many separate visits you made (a visit ends after 30 minutes away).
- How long the app was in front and in use, in seconds. Time while your Mac is idle, asleep or locked is not counted.
- How many tabs of each kind were opened: Files, Docs, Preview, shell consoles and Claude consoles.
- How many projects were added, and whether from a folder, a template or by cloning.
- How many times a project's process crashed or failed to start.
And, as of the latest report:
- How many projects are in the app. The number only.
- The app version, the macOS version, and whether the Mac is Apple silicon or Intel.
- When you last used the app.
Reporting is part of the app and cannot be switched off.
What never leaves your Mac
- Project names, folder names and file paths.
- File contents, source code and documents.
- Commands, arguments and environment variables, including anything in .env files.
- Terminal input and output, and logs.
- Anything you type to Claude, its replies, and how many tokens it used or what they cost.
- Git branches, commit messages, remotes and repository names.
- Addresses you open in Preview, and screenshots of them.
This is enforced, not just promised: the server accepts a fixed list of numbers and
rejects a report that contains anything else.
Your account and your Macs
- Sign-in. Your email address and sign-in are handled by Clerk.
- Billing. Payments are handled by Stripe. We keep your subscription status, plan and renewal date. We never see your card number.
- Each signed-in Mac. We keep the name it signed in with, which is your macOS user name and the computer's name (for example sam@sams-macbook), so you can recognise it in your device list. We also keep a scrambled identifier for the Mac, so that signing in again on the same Mac does not use up another of your three devices. It cannot be turned back into a serial number.
Usage reports are filed under that scrambled identifier, and stay with your account if you later remove the Mac from your device list.
How long it is kept
- Day-by-day usage is kept for 400 days. After that only running totals remain.
- Deleting your account deletes its usage, its totals and its devices.
Who sees it
Only the people who run Mission Control. Usage data is not sold, not shared with
advertisers, and not used to build a profile of you for anyone else.
